FAQ

What’s your cancelation policy?

Look, we get it, plans can change at the last minute. If you’ve booked your fabulous Hawai’i vacation with us, please keep us informed of your travel plans so that we can react with you and make your stay as stress-free as possible.

Our cancelation policy is 100% refunded if canceled more than 30 days prior to check-in date; 50% refund if canceled between 15-30 days prior to check-in date; 0% refund if canceled less than 15 days from check in date. If booked through a platform (i.e. VRBO, Airbnb) then those cancelation terms supersede those listed above. To determine your eligibility of a refund, the date of check-in is counted as ‘day 1’.

What is your booking process?

Booking is easy! Once you’ve identified your dates of travel and have confirmed with us they are available, we will send 1) an initial welcome email; 2) our rental agreements (via DocuSign) to you for completion and 3) will send an invoice through Quickbooks. For payment, you have both ACH and credit options. Note: payment by credit card will add an additional 3% fee to cover processing costs charged by the credit card companies. Once all the admin information is complete, we will send you the access instructions around a month before checkin.

How do I gain entry to the unit?

We have a ‘no contact’ check-in procedure. Upon payment of your final invoice and completion of all rental agreements, you will receive all applicable door, gate, garage codes for your stay. Our entry doors all have keypads, so no more losing keys at the beach!

Do you have recommendations for restaurants and excursions?

Absolutely! We will provide you with a comprehensive welcome packet which has recommendations for our favorite beaches, tips/tricks, restaurants, and more!

How far is the volcano?

The active volcano on island is Kilauea and is around 2 hours from our units. It’s an easy day trip and you’ll have lots of time to explore the volcano hikes, crater, and visitor center. Our recommendation is to stop in Hilo for lunch before you head to the crater site. Pack a picnic dinner and eat in the crater parking lot while waiting for sunset. The lava glow is a fantastic sight to see! Then stop at the Mauna Kea observatories visitor center on your way back to view unobstructed stars & planets at one of the best places to star gaze in the entire world.

Do you have vehicles to rent?

Yes, we do! Each unit has a dedicated vehicle. To rent, just let us know you’d like this option and we will send over our rental agreement for your signature.

Where is the closest beach?

Anaehoʻomalu Beach is the closest beach and is a short 10 minute walk (or 2 minute drive) from our units. To give perspective, the Starbucks is across the street and is a 5 minute walk from our units.

Is there a grocery store nearby?

Yes, there is! Across the street there are 2 shopping centers and the grocery store is called Island Gourmet with hours of 7am-9pm. The closest traditional grocery stores are 15 minutes away in Waikoloa Village. Costco, Target, Walmart are located in Kona approximately 20-30 minutes south. Instacart is a great option and works well on the island. Consider using Instacart to avoid grocery shopping and maximizing your time on the beach!

Are your units family friendly?

They absolutely are! We have small kiddos ourselves and have set up each unit with families in mind. BOB strollers, pack ‘n plays, kid toys, beach toys, etc. are at every unit. If you have specific requests, please reach out and we will try to accommodate.

What are your cleaning practices?

Our backgrounds of running PPE and hand sanitizer businesses, health insurance businesses and vaccination clinics provides us a unique perspective on cleanliness. All linens, to include each bed’s comforter, are washed in preparation for every guest. The air duct system is cleaned annually with a mold prevention solution. This practice also reduces allergic reactions to the Hawaiian pollen and dust. All high touch areas are prioritized and specifically sanitized.

Can I travel between islands?

There are currently no restrictions for inter-island travel. All previous constraints have been lifted as of March 2022. Consider taking a day trip to Oahu to see Pearl Harbor. Flights are typically fairly cheap, have good flight times, and you can either book a tour or rent a car for the day.

Where can I golf?

The Big Island has many first class golf courses, most within 30 minutes of our units. Our units are located on the Waikoloa Beach Resort Golf Course and you receive a discount because you’re staying at our unit. Just ask for the Waikoloa Beach Resort discount and tell the staff you’re staying at Waikoloa Beach Villas.
